project type.

kinetic interactive object

Deep in the beech forests of the Jizera Mountains, something stirs...
The eternal movement of fallen branches may finally take to the sky.

What began as an experiment has become a kinetic object — built from branches, wires, and code.
Its body is made of real wood. Its motion mimics the flapping of a drone’s wings.
As if it were an ancient ancestor. A prototype born of the forest.

The aim was to create a scenographic object capable of interacting live with the performance.
Using an ESP microcontroller and MQTT communication, we built a system that can be triggered remotely — or in real time.

In its next phase, the object begins to respond to gestures.
It senses motion in the space and adjusts its behaviour accordingly.
A simple movement can spark reaction.
A performer steps forward — and the branches begin to stir.

The object listens. And responds.

It balances between scenography, sculpture, and machine. Between choreography and circuitry.
Our goal is to let the space breathe — to make it responsive to presence, change, and impulse.
Each response is unique, yet rooted in a clear internal logic. Every movement is a small demonstration of what happens when nature meets technology.

A branch that flaps like a drone.
A machine that still remembers the forest.
